Inspiration

I was inspired by horror films, it’s one of my favorite genres. I wanted to imagine what certain scenes and environments in my city would look like in a situation like that.

What it does

The idea was to start with internationally recognizable locations, places that are very touristy as well, and take them into this apocalyptic scenario.

How we built it

I built everything from real photographs; using Nano Banana, I designed the composition of each environment and then animated every scene with Kling and VEO 3.1. Once I had the clips, I selected the moments where the sequence worked best and edited everything in After Effects, adding sound effects and polishing the timing.

Challenges we ran into

In terms of challenges, the biggest ones were controlling artifacts and refining the prompts to animate the different frames. I wanted the result to feel as realistic as possible.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The greatest achievement of this series was the level of realism, it could easily pass as a well-shot film scene with 3D effects.

What we learned

I learned how to maintain realism in this type of piece and how to control artifacts in the video clips.

What's next for HAIlloween

More pieces are coming, maintaining realism, using real scenes and real products to imagine entirely new possibilities.
