Hacky Birthday Arduino

Inspiration

I have had an arduino starter kit sitting on my desk since Christmas of last year. I wanted to finally learn how to use it.

What it does

The LCD lights up and displays happy birthday while a horrible rendition of happy birthday plays over a buzzer making your ears suffer the entire time.

How I built it

Using Arduino and C

Challenges I ran into

Trying to figure out how to get the LCD to work. It was a lot of trial and error.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I was able to get it to do everything I had hoped for. I was about to give up when I couldn't figure out how to power the LCD.

What I learned

The arduino platform.

What's next for Hacky Birthday Arduino

I hope to turn this into a bigger project. I would like to use what I learned this time to make a diorama that can light up and play music.
