Inspiration
We were inspired by the growing need for social connection and emotional expression in today's digital world, as well as by the spirit of Valentine's Day, which is a special time of year to celebrate love and connection with others.
What it does
Hacku is a Haiku generator website that allows users to generate their own Haikus to share them with others. Haikus are a form of Japanese poetry that have been used for centuries to express emotions and connect with others. Our website takes this traditional art form and makes it accessible to everyone.
How we built it
Hacku was built using Co:here, Flask, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python. The website was designed to be user-friendly, visually appealing, and accessible to all. The Haiku generator uses a combination of natural language processing and web development to generate Haikus that are both meaningful and beautiful.
Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenges we faced was finding a balance between making the Haiku generator algorithms sophisticated enough to generate meaningful poems, and keeping the user experience simple and intuitive. Another challenge was integrating all the different technologies used in the project, including the web framework, front-end design, and Haiku generation algorithms.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the end result of Hacku. We are also proud of the technical challenges we overcame in developing the project, including the Haiku generator algorithms and the integration of multiple technologies.
What we learned
Working on Hacku taught us the importance of finding a balance between technical sophistication and user experience. We also learned the value of collaboration and teamwork, as we worked together to overcome the challenges we faced.
What's next for Hacku
In the future, we hope to expand the project by adding more language support, improving the Haiku generator algorithms, and integrating with other social media platforms. Our ultimate goal is to create a thriving community of Haiku enthusiasts who come together to connect, express themselves, and find comfort in the beauty of poetry.
