Inspiration
Many beginner coders want to hack and learn how to build products, but unfortunately, don't have the resources needed. Hackathons are difficult to come across if you don't know where to look. They have fees or are geared for more experienced individuals. Teams are difficult if you're not already in a friend group of coders. Many hackathons have team-building sessions at the beginning, but that can be nerve-wracking to newbies. We even have unclaimed ideas that teams can take and build their own version.
Hack Together is a platform that does it all at once: find a hackathon, join a team, and create a product.
What it does
Create an account on Hack Together and immediately find different hackathons near you. Not sure what hackathon you want to join, there's also teams looking for more members. Just want to create on your own, we have ideas that people were willing to share with the group.
How we built it
We used Figma XD to explore UI/UX design in a collaborative way. We registered hacktogether.online with Domain.com for future use.
Challenges we ran into
Both of us are new to design so we looked up different examples to put together our prototype.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We started the hackathon a few hours late so we were happy to find an idea that worked for us.
What we learned
We hadn't use Figma too in depth before. We learned how to use wire framing software to work efficiently.
What's next for HackTogether
We'd like to go into development next and make this functional.
