HackTheNorth with friends

Inspiration

All my teammates abandoned me, so now I'm a solo hacker, this made me sad, so I made a hackathon simulator to pretend like I have friends and teammates to do the hackathon with me.

What it does

It is a hackathon simulator where your teammates are three AI teammates with different personalities. You can draft ideas together, draft a design together and code it together, and then iterate on the code and design and every part of the process. There is also some romantic elements. The design, ideas, and code are generated live by OpenAI API not hard coded

How we built it

Using Codex, Claude and a ton of openAI calls. All the dialogue, text to speech and speech to text is open AI generated and the images too.

Challenges we ran into

It's very hard to get agents to communicate together properly. They will always interrupt each other and then lose context throughout the long simulation. So that was difficult, we had to summarize and conserve context after every scene switch.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Did this as a solo hacker and started this halfway through the hackathon and somehow have it half working.
