Inspiration
A few weeks ago, My parents were complaining that we were using too much energy and our energy bill was very great so I looked for sites to help figure out a plan to save energy. However, I did not find too many resources on that, so a few hours before the Hackathon, I decided to do this.
What it does
It is a simple web application that finds what you need to do to reduce your emissions by 10%.
How we built it
We used HTML and CSS for the website and used Javascript to write the computation.
Challenges we ran into
This was our first time writing a web application, we basically learned syntax as we went.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I think that we did good for the first web application :D
What we learned
We learned how to manage our time and keep track of how things were done. We also learned web development (but its scuffed)
What's next for HackTheClimate
We'll take suggestions and maybe update some features and make the algorithm better!
