Inspiration

As an MLH hacker you love to be up to date with newly announced hackathons. More importantly, as a student, you want to know how much does it cost you to travel to the hackathon with a plane. Wanna know this in the shortest time? Sure! This is what inspired us to build our hack.

What it does

Our mobile app delivers you the complete list of upcoming hackathons from the MLH website together with the cheapest flight price that was found from your city to the city where the hackathon takes place.

How we built it

We built the Android app. It crawls the MLH website to obtain details of upcoming hackathons. For each hackathon, we use the Skyscanner API (Cached) to find the cheapest flight price from your city to the hackathon’s city. The app displays the data comprehensively and transparently so that you don’t waste time typing all the details yourself.
