HackQuest

I created this for hackers like me who have trouble getting the idea,in this app hackers can see other projects made by other fellow hackers and also discuss about them to get inspiration.

Inspiration ❄️

My inspiration was devpost and github where there are so many wonderful projects made by many people.While I was wondering and thinking of idea to create for this hackathon, I immediately got the idea why not make something which helps to get idea,irrespective of design. I think this will be able to solve real life problem of hackers such as me who have trouble getting the ideas.

What it does 💫💫

It allows hackers to upload the projects they have created, and specify if they have won or not which will allow other fellow hackers to learn from their projects, get inspired and make something like that but unique in their next hackathon as sharing is caring and everyone is learning, I thought this will be a good project.

How I built it

It was quite difficult for me to make this project as I was solo and this was my second hackathon. here I thought I can open up my mind and learning something new which I never tried such as twilio , it is great backend service which was for free because of super cooperative mlh team .It allows to send sms to new hackers who register to the app .It uses firestore , firebase storage and firebase authentication for keeping records and I have also used flutter and dart to make it.

Challenges I ran into🥊

There were many challenges that I ran into, my laptop's specs is pretty good but this time my laptop was hanging a lot, due to that reason it was delaying my work and I've never tried figma but I also learnt how to use this tool, by learning figma I learnt a lot about design and I am hoping, I would learn more and more in my next hackathons and I was solo that was also a big challenge for me. I woke up till midnight.

Accomplishments that I am proud of🏆

I am really very proud that I created something useful with my knowledge and learnt a lot more about firebase and figma, as this hackathon was on design, so I learnt more about creating simple,classic and compact designs, I also used twilio for the first time.

What I learned📕📖

I learnt many things like using figma for the first time and use firebase and flutter to create something useful to solve real-life problems.

What's next for HackQuest

There's a lot for HackQuest pending,it's a prototype so I would be updating it in January so that It could be available for hackers such as me to discuss about great hack ideas as well as share their projects!

I am really thankful to MLH TEAM for support and giving me this wonderful opportunity I am hoping to win this time🤞
