Lars, Kai, Michelle, Braedyn Project for HackNY

Harnessing the power of AI and big data, we used information on refugees to predict their annual wage based on level of education and English skill level. Unfortunately, the results reveal a glaring problem in the United States.

Worked on the front end, designing and writing the HTML and CSS seen on the front page. Then connecting the front end to the Fetch API in the backend configured by Lars using Flask in python.

Worked on the front end designing and writing the HackNY2019 HTML file and CSS. Used the Fetch API made by Lars to connect front end to back end

Worked on the back end, creating a machine learning API with flask and scikit-learn, and used Render to deploy the API onto the internet.

Also figured out how to use the Fetch API and created explanatory data visualizations.
