Inspiration

HoYoverse, formerly known as miHoYo, is a Chinese video game development and publishing company that was started by 4 college students from Shanghai University.

What it does

The user creates a party of 4 characters and fights 8 bandits using a variety of skills unique to each character.

How we built it

We first made a wireframe of our application before beginning to code it in Python while trying to stay as close to the wireframe as possible.

Challenges we ran into

None of us knew how to use Pygame and could not link the code to the actual application. We were unable to implement a gacha system that could work and interact with other files. We were unable to implement healing. We were unable to make the combat system as complicated as we wanted.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We managed to display the images of the characters in the application we made through Pygame. All of the classes function properly within the terminal.

What we learned

We learned how to put images and backgrounds in Pygame.

What's next for HackNC 2023 Submission - Termina

Implement healing effects, improve combat complexity, functionality with Pygame, implement a functioning gacha system.
