There are a great many things that are difficult for students to visualize. Massive numbers and forces, like those found in space, are just a few of those. With GravitySim, they can interact with planets and see how changing the mass and initial velocity can affect the forces involved. Teachers and students can either download the full unity project, or copy/look at the script "attractor" to see how the gravity simulation works. GravitySim was built in Unity for the Oculus Quest using the opensource Virtual Reality ToolKit. The UI logic and physics interactions are all written with C# scripting. Our team had some experience in unity with the Oculus Rift, but not the Quest. This complicated development, and much time was spent simply learning about the new device. The UI was also something none of the group had much experience with. We all got to learn a great deal!
