Inspiration

Reducing carbon emission while also empowering remote working.

What it does

We’ve developed the Smart Cash Index (SCI) for plotting housing cost against remote jobs. The SCI will also show quality of life in proximity to parks, hospitals, schools etc.

How I built it

This map is plotting actual salaries for developer jobs on Arbetsförmedlingen against actual living costs from Statistiska centralbyrån (SCB in every municipality in Sweden in real time.

Challenges I ran into

Data gathering and parsing of raw data.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Multiple data sources working together and a small team who have never met before collaborating.

What I learned

We learned a lot about how governments in Sweden work together and the vastness of the data offered.

What's next for HackFromSweden

Adding the final features to the Smart Cash Index and making the quality of living scoring more advanced.
