Inspiration

Developers are having a hard time to look for jobs.

What it does

Hackervibe enables to search fine-granularly both for location and tech stack and orders the hits of cities accordingly.

How we built it

We used the Github API to get the data about prevalence of technologies in different areas and Python to generate Javascript that displays pie charts.

Challenges we ran into

Python internals and generating valid Javascript using Python.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Valid Javascript, solid visualizations and a clear business case.

What we learned

Not using string interpolation but use Jijna or other templating engines to generate code.

What's next for hackervibe

We'll try to get more data because the Github API gave us only limited data with with a free account.
