After having a tremendous amount of trouble with github, we wanted a more seamless online experience. In order to achieve this goal, we utilized the Firebase API for multiple purposes, such as chat and collaborative real-time storage and editing of code. We embedded this all into a chrome extension that extends the features of github.com. The feature we are most proud of is that we can edit the code online together with other team members and it will save it back to the github repo.
