Inspiration
When brainstorming, I had the sudden urge to play cookie clicker. I knew then I wanted to try and make an Idle Game
What it does
It is a hard (to me) Idle game where you have to manage diminishing resources while trying to sell them for gold.
How we built it
I used unity and C#.
Challenges we ran into
I originally tried to follow a tutorial, but it was terrible, so I tried to do it on my own, deleted it all in a fit of rage two hours later, tried to pivot to a different project, that fell through, then I came back to this.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It is the first game I ever made, I learned how to use timers and classes and pretty much most things in C#.
What we learned
I learned how to use C# and a better understanding of object-oriented programming.
What's next for HackBU Idle Game
It is not nearly finished, some bugs and really ugly. Gold does nothing and there is no "Game Over" so I want to do that.
