Inspiration

Our inspiration for HackBreak-Station came from our own experience with the hackathons and how we almost forget to take breaks in between because there are so many ideas running through your mind and you have got so much to do in very limited time. So we created this platform that lets you take a break in a way that does not make your mind totally blank with mindless scrolling on social platforms. People like us do not prefer to take breaks by going to social media because it totally diverts our mind but with HackBreak-Station people would be able to keep their focus because of its Hackathon inspired theme and timely breacks

What it does

HackBreak-Station is a platform for hackers to take a break and relax their minds before they can continue with their projects. It offers a variety of engaging things like games, chatbot and pomodoro timer to let the hackers take a break in a controlled and hackathon themed environment. Breaks during the hackathons are equally important because we sometimes overwork ourselves. This project is made to remind people that breaks are also important to prevent fatigue and to increase productivity.

How we built it

We built it using Streamlit, an open source app framework in python and many of the python libraries.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into many challenges throughout the project but learning the new technology and working with it was one of the challenges we took this time. It was a different kind of experience but it was also fun and we got something to learn.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we implemented almost all of the things we thought of in our project. Ofcourse we had so much more in our minds but that is a never ending thing. So at last we are proud that implemented a satisfactory project for hackers. I hope everybody enjoy that.

What we learned

It was our first time working with Streamlit so it was very fun learning about its amazing features and working with it. It was challenging to understand and work with a new technology in less time but we did it and we learnt so much.

What's next for HackBreak-Station

For HackBreak-Station we hope that in future we would be able to provide more variety of engaging and relaxing things as well as a feature that enable people to invite their teammates to play with.
