COVIDResearcher
Our project was inspired by the fight to cure the worldwide pandemic that is COVID. It has affected, both directly and indirectly, billions of lives. As the most effective thing for fighting viruses is a vaccine, and the best way to get an effective vaccine is through research, our goal is to expedite the process by having important research tools in one place. We were able to build this by using the python language and some external libraries, namely Tkinter and chempy. As this was my (Dante) first hackathon, I learned what it was like working as a team to complete a goal, learning to split responsibilities, and how to create a project. Some challenges that I (Dante), faced were using the python language, as I had only learned how to code with java at first. Overall, however, this was an amazing experience, and I'm happy to say that I have completed a hackathon.
