Inspiration

Hackathon Space Adventure was inspired by the idea of gamifying the hackathon experience. We wanted to create a fun, interactive platform that not only generates meaningful project ideas but also guides users through their journey of turning those ideas into reality. 🚀🌌


What it does

The platform allows users to:

  • Input details about a hackathon, including description, tracks, and areas of interest. 📝
  • Generate a unique, tailored idea for their hackathon. 💡
  • View a roadmap to implement the idea and access basic designs and code templates. 🛠️
  • Enjoy an engaging gamified experience with animations and planetary exploration. 🌍

How we built it

We used the following tools and technologies:

  • Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript for building an interactive and visually engaging interface. 🌐
  • Backend: Flask (Python) for handling idea generation and API calls. 🐍
  • Optional: OpenAI API for advanced idea generation and mock data.

The platform was built in three key steps:

  1. Designing the User Experience: Created smooth transitions and interactive animations for an engaging user journey.
  2. Developing Functionalities: Built features for idea generation, roadmap visualization, and design/code templates.
  3. Testing and Integration: Ensured seamless interaction between frontend and backend.

Challenges we ran into

  • Backend Integration: Ensuring the API responses were displayed dynamically in the frontend.
  • Smooth Transitions: Making the rocket animation seamless while displaying generated data.
  • Time Constraints: Balancing the gamified elements with meaningful project outputs.

Accomplishments that we're proud of
