AutoNote AI | Bolt Hackathon Project

Inspiration

I'm 18 and am always building with AI, as I solve my own problems with it, I figure I can package these solutions to help others too.

While creating, building, studying, I had so many scattered ideas everywhere.

With no time to spend hours sorting notes or trying to understand other apps with a thousand confusing features,

I built something that's quick and just works, where you can dump your mess and it sorts itself, ready for when you come back to it.

What It Does

Note Capturing:

• Dump your note quickly into a capture box
• Have a conversation with your personal AI voice assistant that listens and brainstorms with you, while actively taking notes on the entire conversation, so you don't have to.

Auto-Categorize:

• Once a note is captured, it's sorted into new or current folders, categories and tags.

AI Enhancements:

• Summarize: In One-click summarize everything, so you don’t reread it all, just leaving the gold.
• Grammar Fix: Instant spelling, punctuation, and grammar corrections for polished notes.
• Structure: Auto-arrange your content into clear outlines, headings, bullet points, sections, and more.
• Translate: One-click translation to switch your notes into any language.

Customize:

• Customize your content with an easy to use interface, no messy markdown, just a clean tool bar.

Collaborate:

• Share projects and notes with friends and team members to share ideas and work together.

How I Built It

• Solo: Weeknights and weekends, at home and on the move, happy and sad, I designed, coded and tested every single day.
  

Challenges I Ran Into

• Like any project, I had so many technical hurdles when building this, but nothing that couldn't be solved with hard work and debugging.
• Balancing school, work, family, boxing and this project was stressful, especially with a deadline in mind.

But all these challenges are what made the journey great, and am grateful for them all.

Accomplishments I’m Proud Of

• Building my own note taking platform that solves my problem, which I actually use every day.
• I'm always proud of hardwork and growing this muscle.
• Not giving up or settling for "good enough".

What I Learned

• Never underestimate a seemingly small technical hurdle, it could take longer than expected.
• Always build with backups and safe havens to roll back to.
• Sometimes sacrificing family, school, etc, isn't necessary but simply lazy, by working harder you can actually do it all.
