Inspiration

Being a regular attendee in hackathons and also in touch with various coaches of MLH, I am giving my feedback about my experience of the hackathons.

What it does

I have submitted a figma file which shows a flow of things required to organize a hackathon and also a place where I have mentioned new opportunities to attract members.

How we built it

The project has been built on Figma using Frames, Images from Upsplash, rectangles and text boxes.

Challenges we ran into

Finding the time, writing proper detailed information about the header, etc were was not able to complete it on time but gave a good briefing about how and what is to be followed during this type of event.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I was able to complete a proper flow of the things required in a hackathon which will help in organizing a hackathon.

What we learned

An offline hackathon might be difficult to arrange, but with careful preparation and execution, it can be a positive experience for all those involved. To effectively plan an offline hackathon, follow these steps:

Specify the purpose and goals: Prior to hosting an offline hackathon, specify the purpose and goals. Establish your goals for the hackathon and the lessons you want the participants to learn from it.

Determine who your target market is: Choose your target market and research their interests. This will enable you to customize your event to meet their interests and needs.

Choose a location: Pick a location that can hold the event and has enough room for workstations, seats, and networking places. Verify that the location has dependable internet access as well as the relevant facilities and equipment.

Set the guidelines and format: Choose the hackathon's structure, including its duration and whether it will be individual or team-based. Describe the hackathon's rules and regulations, including the submission requirements, the judging standards, and any other pertinent regulations.

Find sponsors and partners: Find sponsors and partners to assist the hackathon financially and logistically. This could entail offering refreshments, gifts, food, or technical assistance.

Advertise the event: To draw attendees, promote the event using social media, email marketing, and other methods. Make sure to provide all relevant facts, such as the time, location, and registration information.
