Hi, my name is Zubair and I am the spokesperson for our group.
The members in our group are Andrew, Jena, Helen and of course, me.
In this clip, I'll be demonstrating a demo of our Hackathon project.
As you know, the focus of this Hackathon was to create something that helps to improve Student Life.
We took this in mind, however, even further.
According to a 2016 CDC survey, 9.4% of children in the United States have been diagnosed with ADHD.
It might not seem like a lot, but when you put it into perspective, that's a large number of people.
Most resources nowadays are focused at your average student who has no special needs.
We decided that for our project, we would focus more on improving not just any student's life, but the life of Students with ADHD.
So the design of our app was more focused on being creative, helpful, and a strong resource for students with ADHD.
After speaking with some people who've been diagnosed with ADHD, we concluded that our app was designed well for the ADHD community. We even took idea's from the people we spoke with and effectively incorporated it into our app.
So now, we'll be moving into the different parts of the app.
When you first open it, you're introduced to the homescreen.
On the homescreen, you can see a nice header message that changes based on the time of day, a daily tip which focuses on being helpful, you get to see the time of day, the different categories on the app, and you're sleep progress.
Each category is built to help a student who suffers from ADHD in their daily lives.
When you go into reminders, it shows you all the reminders you've made. It also gives you some tips to help you get on your feet.
The mental health section is designed to help with your mental well being. You can put down whats on your mind in the journal entries, you get to see a reminder you often have, as well as meditation.
The agenda is built to help keep your tasks and responsibilities straight. You have a to-do list, priorities list, and even notes.
Finally to end with, the app also has a category for checking your emails. We've placed this here to make it easier to check your emails rather than having to exit the app and go into an entirely different one.
