Team making was difficult and amplified by the fact that everything was remote this year.
What it does
Allows you to find members based on various characteristics.
How we built it
We used django to take care of the back and and react for the website UI. We stored the data of each user on an mysql server on google cloud.
Challenges we ran into
Not knowing how to connect django with react as it was mostly everyone's first time developing a webpage.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Honestly, getting as far as we got as first timers to almost everything we touched for this project.
What we learned
Everything we did was done through learning. 3 of us hand't even heard of react and django before we dove into this project. We had no idea what and how to use google cloud, no experience using databases at all, and minimal experience with javascript and html.
What's next for Hackateam
We think it would be cool to do data analysis on winning teams like viewing what most winning teams have in common. Another cool addition could be using ML to suggest teammates.
