What it does
About Hackedemics 🌟 Inspiration Math is often seen as a daunting subject, leaving many students feeling overwhelmed and disconnected. The idea behind Hackedemics was born out of a desire to make math more accessible, interactive, and enjoyable. We wanted to create a tutor that’s available 24/7, adapts to individual learning needs, and explains concepts patiently, empowering learners of all skill levels.
🛠 How We Built It The development of Hackedemics involved leveraging cutting-edge technologies to ensure a seamless and engaging user experience:
Frontend: Built using Streamlit for an intuitive and interactive interface. AI Integration: Powered by Gemini AI, delivering context-aware, personalized tutoring. Backend: Developed with Python and SQLite to manage user authentication and progress tracking securely. Core Features: AI-driven chat tutor for step-by-step problem solving. Tools like a graph visualizer, formula generator, and quizzes for interactive learning. Dynamic visualizations, including fraction visualizers and algebra tiles, to simplify complex concepts. 📚 What We Learned The potential of AI in personalized education and its ability to adapt to diverse learning needs. The importance of creating a user-friendly interface that makes math approachable and engaging. How to balance rapid prototyping with delivering a polished and functional product. 🚧 Challenges We Faced AI Fine-Tuning: Ensuring the AI could respond effectively across a variety of math topics required precise prompt engineering. Interactive Design: Building tools like graph visualizers and interactive quizzes demanded careful attention to usability and accuracy. Time Constraints: Developing and testing a robust platform within a limited timeframe was a significant challenge.
