Mr. Pill was inspired by the aging population, as well as the growing presence of antibiotic resistance in the world of medicine. One significant cause as to the increasing prevalence of antibiotic resistance is the act of not completing the full run of a prescription, allowing for more hardy bugs to reproduce and give rise to a new generation of germs who also posses this immunity.

Our goal when addressing this problem was to make it easier for seniors to keep on top of their medications consistently, as well as give healthcare providers an easy way to keep tabs on their higher concern patients.

This is achieved through a combination of a web-app, geared towards the practitioners' needs, as well as a Google Home application which seniors can interact with more easily and naturally than if they were required to input all the information by hand on a computer or smart phone.

The practitioner's side of the application provides an index of all their patients of interest, their medications and conditions, and their progress through any currently issued prescriptions.

On the other side, the Google home can act as a reminder to the seniors to regularly administer the prescribed dose of the medication in question, and will update the practitioner's database on their progress through a prescription as a patient interacts with it. The practitioner then will be able to determine both if the patient wavering away from the prescribed dosage and schedule, or if the patient is beginning to run out of their prescription and may need to fill and new one.
