Inspiration ! 🔥
We four newbies Abhishek, Aditya, Ekman and Paavani(myself), in the field of hackathon decided to participate in Hack This Fall 2.0 and contribute something good from our side to the society to avoid food wastage and conserve environment!
What it does 🤩?
🎯Our Website was developed to increase awareness regarding food waste and how it effects environment through the use of the quiz where the user can test their existing knowledge of the food habits and improve it. 🎯We have incorporated an engage section in our website to engage the users and connect them with the top 5 NGOs of the leading top 6 cities in India. 🎯We also have an events section to inform the users of the upcoming NGO events and contribute their part to the society for good.
How we built it 🤔?
We used HTML, CSS, Javascript and Bootstrap to make it responsive and to have attractive features!
Challenges we ran into😉 ...
Completing a project in such a short time by quickly getting an idea by analyzing the most necessary part of life, "Food" and "Environment" and implementing it by strong team coordination was the biggest challenge that we faced! And ofcourse de-bugging the small little bugs in our website was another challenge that we ran through.
Accomplishments that we're proud of !😎
We are proud of the fact that we could successfully complete our project without any glitches even though this was the first hackathon for most of us in the given span of time!
What we learned ? ⚙️
We learned the utilization of git and github and the skill of de-bugging real quick and in the non-technical front, we learnt necessary skill of team-coordination.
What's next😀 for Hack The Food ?
We are planning to add a login page which will link to the interface where the users can interact with each other. We will also add backend part to feedback and more useful features to our website in upcoming days.
