Inspiration
The fire department of India which works around the clock to prevent and manage unfortunate fire hazards and gas leaks.
What it does
It is an app which alerts people in case of a fire emergency in their houses or their locality, so that they can take immediate action and save their lives.
How we built it
Our model is based on a sensor connected to an IOT circuit which triggers a change in the databse it detects fire. The app detects this change in database and rings an alarm to alert it’s users.
Challenges we ran into
The main challenge we faced was connecting the sensor to the database.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We overcame our challenge which was connecting the sensor to the database by reading various documentation about it and trying different methods to do the same.
What we learned
We learned that we should keep trying whenever challenges come our way and one day we will be able to figure out a solution and overcome our challenge. Moreover, we also realised that such an app could be very useful for our society and it could prevent many accudents.
What's next for Hack Overflow - Aliferous
Once we perfect the IOT circuit for Fire detection , our team will start working with sensors like MQ135 in order to detect leaks of hazardous gases.
