  3D Model Generating page

Inspiration: As a passionate teen from a small town in Assam, India, I’ve always dreamed of building futuristic tech that can change the world. While exploring 3D model generation with AI, I realized how hard it is for solo devs or indie creators to create 3D models quickly without learning complex tools like Blender.

So I thought: Why not build a simple webapp where anyone can type an idea and generate a 3D model with AI? That idea became ModelForge AI — a clean and simple AI-powered 3D model generation tool, built with love and speed for the World's Largest Hackathon by Bolt.

How we built it:

1. Platform: Bolt.new (No-code + AI-powered webapp builder)
2. Frontend: Designed clean UI using Bolt’s visual editor
3. 3D Model Preview: Used a pre-generated 3D model for demo purposes (Astronaut)
4. AI Placeholder: Simulated AI input/output system to represent how users would ask for 3D models
5. File Upload + Interface: Added buttons, user input areas, and visuals for future integrations

Challenges we ran into:

1. Bolt.new doesn’t allow uploading big 3D model files easily
2. I ran out of tokens during build-time 😭 so had to use smart work instead of hard work
3. One of the biggest challenges was the lack of budget for paid APIs or cloud services. Since we couldn’t afford a real-time 3D model generation API, we used pre-generated models just for the demo.

What we learned:

1. How to build a clean, working UI super fast using Bolt.new
2. Basics of working with 3D models (formats like .glb, .obj, .fbx)
3. Importance of MVPs: You don’t need to build everything — just enough to show the idea
4. How to stay calm and creative under deadline pressure 😅

What's next for ModelForge AI:

1. Add real-time integration with free 3D model generation AIs like Meshy or Luma Labs
2. Let users type prompts and generate/download models instantly
3. Add premium plans after 10 free generations
