Thanks to the beauty of the tech stack behind this project I had a lot of fun! (even though it's not fully done)
Inpiration
Since I would not finish what I started Friday, I decided to use the theme "Hack My Portfolio" to build a website for me, more precisely, a blog.
What I learned
- scope and time are very important to consider at the start
- technology helps us to build amazing things each day faster
- Eleventy is cool
- I don't know Web Design xD
How
I started off from HTML5Boilerplate, with Parcel to test.
Then saw some designs in Bootstrap Studio and exported the Clean Blog.
It took some time to make the exported site function with the dev env.
Finally, I moved everything to NJK and started building the blog part. This was the hardest part.
Don't waste time - Bruce Lee
Time was pressing all the time during the whole hackathon, and despite being insanely challenging, it was awesome.
What's next for the Hack My Portfolio blog
- Start writing posts every time I participate in Hackathons
- Write about how I coded things in detail for future learning
Endnotes:
That would not be my project initially... The project ended up being too big to
finish in time.
I build this one in the last 6h ... :)
Built With
- bootstrapstudio
- eleventy
- ghost
- html5boilerplate
