We discovered that many people are struggling to buy medicines in this Pandemic! So, we decided to create a website which allows user to buy medicals at the comfort of their home. It'll allow the user to buy medicals and order them. Basically as we know during this Lock-down people are feared and they wanna keep themselves away from others so in order to maintain social distancing this project can be very useful. As with the help of this application the Customer can just either click the pic of PRESCRIPTION or he can type the name of medicines that he/she wanna have, as he upload/types the medicine name, the notification will be sent to all the medical stores in the range of 1-2 Kilometres, After which medical shopkeepers can bid on those medicines if they have its stock. Then customer can select the best medical store from the bids after which either he can visit to buy medicines or he get them delivered at his door steps.
How we built it
We built the web app mainly using React, GatsbyJS, React-bootstrap and react-dom for structure. Gatsby is an OSS React-based framework which helps developers to run production faster and develop web apps in more efficient manner.
Challenges we ran into
First, some of us were new to ReactJS. Although, we learned JS, using react is quite challenging. We had to configure the server and had to identify the errors which caused the server to fail in production. That's why, we used GatsbyJS to overcome this problem.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We built a portal which makes the user to buy medicines at ease! What else? We made a working website using ReactJS and GatsbyJS in such a short time! We learned many things on that day! And the main thing is that with this project is that people can get the best price of the medicines and that too from their local shopkeeper by which those small shopkeepers can also earn more profit.
What we learned
- Some features of Git
What's next for VirtuPharm
We planned to learn react more and use it to create more interactive websites. What's more? Even a full-stack web app maybe! And last but not least We wanna apply this idea to the real world to help others. For now its an SOP but in future you will see this idea soon. XD!
