Inspiration

Many people join their first hackathons worried and don't know what to expect. We created Hack Help to help people come up with ideas for their hacks and to provide them with resources and tips.

What it does

Hack Help uses openAI to generate specific Hackathon project ideas based on the experience levels of the team, the team's strengths, the theme of the hackathon, and the amount of time they have to build it. It also provides hackers with resources and tips for hackathons and learning how to code in the same place.

How we built it

We built it using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Node.js.

Challenges we ran into

Figuring out how to connect the chatbot to the API was the main struggle. It took several hours yo resolve the issue, but we got there in the end!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully got the program to both export and import information from an external source. We also are pretty proud of our website design.

What we learned

We learned a lot about Node.js, which is something we haven't had too much experience with in the past. We also learned a lot more about backend and frontend development.

What's next for Hack Help

Next, we plan on expanding the resource section to provide more specific and targeted. We also plan on expanding this part of the website to make it more interactive.
