Note: this is just an example of how you could structure your submission. You need not follow this template at all. However do state your chosen problem statement clearly and ensure all your team members are added to the project.

Problem (Singapore Council of Women's Organisations)

The problem statements are general and open-ended. As such, do state the specific aspect(s) of the problem statement your team is tackling (e.g. Lack of sleep, Aphasia engagement). Explain your team's thought process behind deciding to solve the selected problem.

Solution

Talk about what your solution does to solve the problem. Discuss how it enables X people to do Y things to achieve Z. Explain the thought process behind the solution briefly. It is important to discuss the impact, usefulness and novelty of your solution.

How we built it

Talk about how your team built your solution. Optionally discuss how your solution can be scaled up and/or how it is designed to be cost-effective or efficient. Discuss any innovative or creative way in which your team built your solution to tackle the specified problem if any.

Challenges we ran into

Talk about challenges your team encountered while building your solution. If they shaped your solution design decisions, it may be good to discuss how they did so (i.e. we chose to do X rather than Y because of Z constraint).

What's next

Talk about what your potential future plans for this project are. Optionally discuss how your team can partner with NUS Office of Student Affairs and our NPOs to develop a full-fledge solution beyond this hackathon.

The NUS Office of Student Affairs will entirely own the right of your solutions and will implement the solutions as they deem fit to benefit Hack For Good 2020's partner non-profit organizations.

Submission and links

Your team will be prompted to upload a presentation deck when you make a submission of your project to our hackathon (do note that you will be able to edit your project after submission, but you will have to re-submit again after doing so). Refer to the Submission Requirements section on the Hack For Good landing page for more information as to what to include.

Optionally, you can also add a link to your presentation deck (Google Drive), source code (Github), pitch video (if any, on Youtube) and to a live demo (if available, check out Netlify and Herokuapp). You are also encouraged to add screenshots or publicity materials to the image gallery of your project page.

That being said, do focus on building a meaningful solution. Everything else, such as the above, are secondary.
