Inspiration

My 12yo son wants to become a software developer like I am, so I wanted to see what he could build and to get him excited to be able to build something so quickly.

What it does

A fun and imaginative game for kids, dreamed up and mostly built by a kid, to inspire the next generation of software developers.

How we built it

I explained what bolt.new is and how it worked. He came up with the idea and entered all the prompts.

Challenges we ran into

We started around midday on 29th June and finished 5 hours later. We had a problem with ExpoGo crashing repeatedly so we deployed it to the web.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This is my son's first attempt at building software and I think he made a pretty decent game!

What we learned

Bolt.new is an absolute "game" changer! This tool will revolutionise software development. Also, we should have started earlier.

What's next for Hack Clicker

Refine the front end, connect to a back end and eventually to deploy it to the app stores.
