Inspiration

Hachiware from Chiikawa

What it does

Hachimirror is an interactive touchscreen mirror that displays your schedule, reminders, time, Pomodoro timer, daily compliments, and messages from your partner, while allowing you to react and send feedback through a connected wearable.

How we built it

We combined a touchscreen display, custom Hachiware-inspired mirror frame, LED lighting, a web-based interface, and a connected wearable to create an interactive experience between the mirror you, and your partner.

Challenges we ran into

Our biggest challenges were integrating the hardware and software, getting communication between the mirror and wearable working reliably, and fitting everything into a functional mirror design.

What we learned

We learned a lot about integrating hardware with software, designing for real-time interactions, and turning a creative concept into a physical product within a limited amount of time.
