Inspiration
„People do not decide their futures, they decide their habits and their habits decide their futures.“ We, the founders of the HabitTeam app, took this saying to heart and started creating our app over half a year ago. Our goal is to give friends as well as strangers the opportunity to take part in various challenges and to integrate new habits to improve their own life while staying motivated.
What it does
The users can share their whole progress of developing habits with their followers which can also join this process and therefore encourage the original creator in return.
How we built it
The frontend was created with flutter and for the backend NodeJS was used. The ideas for habits were endless, but there were some challenges we had to face.
Challenges we ran into
We realized right from the start how many people were interested in the app, so we had to make sure that it’s suitable for a large number of users. Accomplishment that we’re proud of We are proud to say that our app lives up to our high standards, as shown by the positive feedback from our beta test, which over a hundred people joined.
What we learned
We realized what a structured approach to app creation is, how to overcome familiar challenges, and how not to be discouraged by new obstacles.
What’s next for HabitTeam
In order to offer our users new content, we already have a few plans for the future. For example, we are planning to allow users creating their own stories and to enable them to design their own stickers for snapchat.
We really liked the Hackathon experience from Snap, because the challenge fits perfectly to our app. Our whole marketing idea is built on the SnapKit in order to reach millions of users. Furthermore the challenge influenced us to work even harder and better. To sum up, we really appreciate the Hackathon. Thanks!
