Problem Description

Mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression, affect millions of people worldwide, making it challenging for them to establish and maintain healthy habits that support their well-being. Many individuals struggle with motivation and accountability, often leading to a cycle of neglecting self-care practices. This neglect can worsen mental health symptoms, resulting in decreased quality of life, increased healthcare costs, and a greater burden on mental health services. Despite the availability of various resources and initiatives aimed at supporting mental health, many individuals still find it difficult to prioritize their well-being in a structured and sustainable way.

AI Solution

To address this problem, we developed Habitify, a habit-tracking app that incorporates an AI-driven personalized habit recommendation system. This system analyzes user behavior, mood logs, and engagement patterns to provide tailored suggestions for habits that align with each user’s unique needs and preferences. For example, suppose a user frequently reports feeling better after practicing mindfulness. In that case, the AI may recommend specific mindfulness exercises or suggest optimal times to practice based on when the user typically feels stressed. By leveraging AI, Habitify not only helps users identify effective habits but also encourages them to maintain consistency through personalized reminders and motivational insights.

According to the World Health Organization, approximately 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health issue at some point in their lives.
