Inspiration
We were inspired by Habitica, a platform that transforms habit management into a game, to create a more personalized experience focused on individual growth. We wanted to simplify habit tracking and make every small achievement in daily life feel rewarding.
What it does
HabitFlow allows users to create, organize, and track habits visually through an interactive calendar. The system not only displays habit dates and names, but also provides reminders and statistics to keep users engaged and motivated.
How we built it
We built HabitFlow using Oracle APEX, which allowed us to quickly develop an interactive web application. This platform made it easy for us to create forms, manage databases, and implement the habit calendar, all within a secure and scalable environment.
Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenges we faced was implementing database connections efficiently to store and manage user habits. In addition, we had to explore a new tool unknown to us, which represented an additional challenge in the development process.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to have developed a platform that not only improves user productivity but also fosters a sense of daily accomplishment. We managed to create a visually appealing and functional tool that can be easily scaled.
What we learned
We learned the importance of prioritizing user experience at every stage of development. Additionally, we realized that habits require flexibility and customization to fit different lifestyles.
