Inspiration
Doing tasks can be boring, while playing video games can always be fun! So we decided to merge the two!
What it does
What we did was made an RPG out of doing everyday habits, the more tasks you complete, the higher you progress and the more experience points and stat bonuses you get!
How we built it
This project was built using React & Node.js & PostgreSQL. We used Defang to set up the project. It also contains OpenAI support for creating and your tasks!
Challenges we ran into
We were all new to using Node.js and React, so it took us some time to figure out how the tech stack worked.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We got OpenAI prompts working, saved our data to a database, displayed our data with React and made a sick looking webpage.
What we learned
We learned how to work with OpenAI API, Node.js, React and Postgres.
What's next for Habit Heroes
We can add user accounts, character customization, leaderboards and data visualization.
