HaBit: Financial Literacy Trainer

Inspiration

We never had a simple and intuitive way to learn about investing and after hearing that nearly 70% of Americans cannot directly pay for a $1000 emergency, we wanted to create a platform where students can learn and expermient in a simulated stock market.

What it does

HaBit uses small bite sized lessons that teach individuals about investing in highly interactive ways from creating graphs to multiple choice questions. After a lesson, individuals slowly unlock features and earn cash for the live stock-market simulator which prevents being overwhelmed by data in a traditional stock market simulator.

We built the website using the Flask python library.

What's next for HaBit: Financial Literacy Trainer

In the future, we plan to deploy the website to a servers and expand support to a mobile application, so any indvidual can access it and transform their financial knowledge. We would also like to expand our classes to expand into more areas of finance and dive deaper into investing through our bite sized lessons.
