Inspiration
Health, both physical and mental is very important. Health plays an important role in human development whether for daily activities or for activities to support productivity. Mental health is closely related to physical health. According to WHO 2020 findings, physical activity is very beneficial for the body. Regular activity is proven to help prevent non-communicable diseases such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes and several types of cancer. Physical activity plays an important role in maintaining good mental health. As in a student or worker, physical activity in their environment will reduce anxiety, increase resilience and increase positive mental health (Andermo et al. 2020). However, in the era of globalization, humans are very neglectful of health. They focus on their work and also focus on the smartphones they have. Especially with the corona virus outbreak, it worsens human habits so that they do not leave the house and do not do physical activities such as sports. Of course, lack of physical activity and focus on the smartphone layer will make humans depressed. A survey on mental health through self-examination compiled by the Indonesian Psychiatric Association (PDSKJI) conducted online explained that as many as 63% of respondents experienced anxiety and 66% of den responses experienced depression due to the COVID-19 pandemic. From there, it can be seen that in addition to physical health that is decreasing, human mental health is also increasingly destroyed because they interact too often with cellphones so that they cannot stem the information that enters their minds. Of course this will affect the level of focus in carrying out an activity. From this problem, we offer a solution through the HABATA (Habit Building and Tracking) application, an application to help create healthy living habits. With the recommendation of Artificial intelligence (AI) technology will recommend sports, activities and foods that are suitable for users. Using technology combined with a tracking system will help users to process to form healthy living habits.
What it does
Our application helps people to do activities that are suitable for forming a pattern of healthy living habits such as recommending suitable sports to do by considering the user's needs, weather, activities that have been passed and the targets to be achieved. Every activity that users do will get crypto credit coins and will also be published on the user's post page to build a healthy living community between users. Crypto Credit Coins that have been collected either from completing activities or from user topups can later be used to register for joint activity events held within the community. This is done because basically to make a habit is very difficult if there is no encouragement. And the easiest encouragement is encouragement from people who have the same vision as in the community.
How we built it
For the first 2 hours we brainstormed to find ideas and concepts that would be made. After that we did the division of tasks to create UIUX. After that, we entered the developing process using Fluter. Due to limited time and experience, the project we developed is still in the prototyping stage, but in the future for determining appropriate activity recommendations we will use machine learning, for activities that require physical activities and move places we will use pedometer technology that is embedded in smartphones. For tracking the movement of the place of activity we will also use the Fire from Gmaps as well as in the Strava application.
Challenges we ran into
The challenge we faced was the limited time in working on this project which was only 3 days. For the front end we made it so that users can easily use it but also want to linger with it. The research we did to create this application was also quite in-depth related to the technology that will be used, but due to limited time and energy the research we did could not be implemented.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We found a solution to the problem of healthy lifestyle by offering an app to help people build a healthy lifestyle. We found new knowledge about how to realize the application that we will develop in the future We were able to create a UIUX design and implement it into the front end of the application.
What we learned
We learned about time management, working in a team and how to collaborate with new people. And we also found knowledge related to technology that can be used to develop Habata applications.
What's next for HABATA
We will focus on developing a real-world community and will create a crypto currency community that will support each other to create healthy living habits together.
