Inspiration

The 2020 pandemic has given us opportunity to introspect how well digitization within Healthcare has reached to patients and their families. India has ample scope when it comes to reaching patients via high speed internet and handheld devices.

What it does

We sort of planned to build a web app compatible on all handheld devices and browsers which could recommend and show results of hospitals along associated facilities based on various income groups and spending capacity with a choice of filters in a particular location. This would eradicate need of patients and their families to span from hospitals to hospitals with enquiry and reduce uncertainties with respect to unexceptional and unplanned hospital expenditures.

How we built it

We fused the best of technology with exceptional needs of Indian customers in order to serve wider needs. We started with requirement gathering, advanced to design phase, created strawman diagram run time architectures and then started with development.

Challenges we ran into

1)The real time challenges faced by people during this Covid-19 situation has what drawn our attention to build an idea like this. Challenges like beds unavailability, money crisis due to no jobs or loss of jobs which led to reduced/minimum balance available with them for their treatments. 2)While working on development we faced challenges on learning and implementing new technologies. 3)Identifying apis and implementing, integrating for the web app application 4)Challenges to create well responsive UI using bootstrap. 5)Integrating all components for the application.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are quite satisfied with the way the design has came out to be. Deciding to work on this idea was a different thing but working on it and reaching to a point where it came out to be a lot more than expected, is what is an accomplishment for us as a team.

What we learned

Through out this application development process, we came across various possibilities and ways which can be accommodated in our project that can help people a lot in various possible ways. We learned about the APIs and their uses, about how we can use different technologies for making something quite user friendly for anyone coming across this web application.

What's next for H2H- Hospital to Home

Though our app is mobile friendly and supported by all browser but we would like to create a mobile only app dedicated to reach wider audience. We plan to integrate feature of chatbot along with the usage of Amazon Lex and also do plan to work on data consolidation and data visualization which could be an enhancement for the patient fraternity. Business analytics & visualization to be achieved by AWS Quicksight or Microsoft Power BI.
