Inspiration

I had an experience of onboarding people into Web 3 and every time it took quite some time and require many different moves, links, tutorials to install chains etc. It is a significant barrier for Web3 adoption that prevents many people from entering the Web3 or switching from using purely Web2. This gave an idea of a platform that combines most of the Web3 infrastructure and provides a simple way to set-up a Web3 environment. This is called to lower the entrance threshold for users and attract more people into Web3.

What it does

Combines all of the major Web3 infrastructure (i.e. wallets, bridges, chains, DeFi, privacy solutions, NFTs etc). in one place.
Provides a simple guideline/tutorial to get started in Web3
Maintains a Knowledge Base about crypto and Web3

How we built it

Our solution is built as a web-app on React and Node.JS. We gathered links to all major Blockchain projects, wallets, chains, bridges and other Web3 solutions and integrated a "Tutorial mode" that provides a simple step-by-step guide for users.

Challenges we ran into

One of the key challenges was the amount of information that we wanted to incorporate in tutorial mode. We tried to incorporate more detailed info at the beginning, but that made the process longer and more complicated, still not giving all the necessary details. As a solution we introduced a "Knowledge Base" that can be accessed at any point during the tutorial and give more details on any topic. This allows us to have extended explanations for those who need them and at the same time keep the tutorial mode/setup mode very quick and simple.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Simple and informative tutorial mode that allow to gets setup in Web3 in several clicks A recommendation system that highlights 3-5 projects in tutorial mode to make the choice easier for newly onboarding users.

What we learned

We validated the idea with several mentors and hackers and the feedbacks were generally positive. Most people said that in one or another way they faced the problem of onboarding someone into Web3 and that took some time to explain and get started. The aggregator feature was also well accepted.
