Inspiration
We and our fellow coders generally tend to forget our water intake while working which can lead to dehydration and low productivity.
What it does
It's a google extension which keeps track of your daily water intake and reminds you to drink some at regular intervals by notifying you at your desktop and also it tells you some facts about water. Also with a click you can help an organization to save the most valuable ingredient of life - water.
How we built it
We built it using HTML5, CSS5, java script, google developer tools and git hub.
Challenges we ran into
We figured how to use google local storage that stores number of glasses of water user drank in a day then resets it to 0 at midnight everyday and figured how to make a slider compatible with the storage.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It's our first hackathon and we made an user-friendly google extension.
What we learned
We learned how to access google local storage and got comfortable with various java script functions.
What's next for H2Bro
We would like to deploy our extension on the google extension store, but as it takes some days to get reviewed by the google team, also we would like to add more organization that helps needy in our list but due to time constraint it was not possible at the moment because we have to review every other organizations in detail.
