What Inspired Us

Every day, people experience symptoms they don’t understand — especially elderly individuals, pregnant women, or those with chronic illnesses. Unfortunately, delayed medical attention often leads to more serious health outcomes. We wanted to build something that could offer early guidance in those moments, using just a smartphone, without relying on additional hardware. That goal led to the creation of H-Light, a simple and intelligent mobile health assistant.

How We Built It

We used Bolt to quickly build a mobile-first prototype that includes profile setup, symptom input, emergency guidance, and a basic interaction history. The focus was on creating a clean interface that users could easily understand and trust. Netlify was used to host and deploy the live version. We also designed the system with future AI integration in mind.

What We Learned

Through this project, we realized how important clear user experience and responsible design are when dealing with health-related applications. We also learned how to turn a concept into a functional prototype quickly, and how to simulate AI interactions without full backend implementation.

Challenges We Faced

Building a meaningful and reliable health assistant without access to real-time medical databases was a major limitation. Ensuring the interface worked smoothly across devices, especially on mobile, required multiple adjustments. Finally, we had to carefully design the app to guide users without acting as a replacement for medical professionals.

What’s Next

Our next steps are to integrate real AI systems, build secure backend infrastructure, and offer tools for hospitals to receive patient data in advance. We plan to expand the platform while keeping its core mission the same: helping people make faster, safer health decisions.
