GymBro

Inspiration

In a world where personal fitness has become a top priority for many, we recognised a need for personalised workout guidance. GymBro was inspired by the vision to create a fitness platform that is adaptable to individual schedules, resources, and evolving fitness levels.

What it does

GymBro employs AI to act as your virtual personal trainer, crafting custom workout plans from user-provided data. It takes into account factors such as experience level, available workout time, and equipment to deliver a workout regimen tailored just for you. It will be sent to your email right away so that you will have a copy of it no matter what.

How we built it

Utilising OpenAI's GPT-3.5 Turbo model, ChatGPT, Squarespace and Zapier, GymBro interprets user inputs to generate fitness plans. We focused on responsive web design for cross-device compatibility and a straightforward interface for ease of use.

Challenges we ran into

The project's main challenge was hyperparameter tuning an AI capable of understanding varied fitness needs while ensuring recommended workouts were safe and effective. Adjusting the AI's suggestions according to the user's progressing fitness level also posed significant complexity.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're particularly proud of creating an adaptive AI system for personalised fitness. The positive feedback and results reported by our team have been extraordinarily affirming.

What we learned

Throughout this project, we've gained insights into the intricacies of fitness planning and the potential of AI in creating adaptive learning experiences. The critical role of intuitive UI/UX design in making technology accessible was also a valuable lesson.

What's next for GymBro

The roadmap for GymBro includes expanding the workout database for diverse needs and collaborating with fitness experts to enhance the AI recommendations. We also aspire to build a GymBro community for shared experiences and mutual encouragement.
