Inspiration

My dad has struggled in the past with going to the gym, because he never thinks he's making any progress. He constantly looks in the mirror and never sees anything different. So, I decided to make a web application that helps users see their progress. Nobody wants their camera roll to be filled with pictures of their stomach, so instead, they can use my gymtransformation.vercel.app.

What it does

It's a web application that has sign up, sign in, sign out, upload images, compare images, delete images, and more functionality. Users can upload daily pictures of themselves, and compare them to see their progress.

How we built it

I built it using react, next.js, graphql, aws amplify, aws s3 bucket, and css.

Challenges we ran into

I was adding a feature where users could add properties to each picture, like their weight, height, and others, and then see graphs that indicate how they're changing, but I ran out of time.
