Inspiration

Our inspiration came from observing our own friends who would skip lectures but spend sleepless nights grinding to reach "Diamond" rank in competitive games. We realized that the addictive nature of gaming—the clear goals, instant feedback, and social status—was exactly what was missing from the modern classroom. We asked ourselves: "What if mastering Python felt as rewarding as mastering a game level?" This led us to build a platform where academic progress is visualized not just as grades, but as tangible growth in a player's profile. We are inspired to turn the "grind" of studying into the "fun" of leveling up, making education accessible and engaging for the digital-native generation.

What it does

GyanX is a Learn-to-Earn platform where users enter any topic, receive AI-generated study materials (cheat sheets), take interactive quizzes, earn points, and mint achievements as NFTs on the Base blockchain. It also features a community feed, study groups, 1v1 challenges, and leaderboards.

How we built it

Frontend: React + Tailwind CSS + Framer Motion for animations Backend: Base44 platform (entities for data, integrations for AI) AI: LLM integration to generate study content and quizzes dynamically Blockchain: Base Sepolia testnet for minting achievement NFTs Authentication: Base44's built-in auth system

Challenges we ran into

Ensuring quiz data is properly structured from AI responses Managing user profiles, streaks, and points calculations Building a seamless UX for study → quiz → mint flow Handling authentication and session management

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Real-time AI-generated study materials on any topic Gamified learning with points, levels, badges, and streaks Community features (feed, groups, challenges) On-chain achievement minting (NFTs) Clean, responsive dark-themed UI

What we learned

How to integrate AI (LLM) for dynamic content generation Building gamification systems (points, levels, streaks) Working with blockchain for verifiable credentials Creating engaging social/community features in an ed-tech app
