Inspiration

Many of the fun, whimsical AI helpers that have been coming out have been task-specific helpers that can take in more fuzzy inputs (I.e. “what’s the best time to go to pilates this week?”). We wanted to create something fun that did that in an aspect of life that took way too much decision time.

What it does

It provides a simple gut check on whether or not you should go on the second date.

The app gives likelihood of compatibility after the user answers a couple of questions and shares access to their social media and dating apps.

How we built it

Figma. We were building it with NextJS, but that proved to be too long.

Challenges we ran into

Figuring out the AI packages to use took a bit longer than we wanted.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The app vision is light and fun. We believe it could be easily completed as an app if we had more time.

What we learned

The power of friendship 🥹🫂. This is our first hackathon together, and we’re grateful that there was a space for us to yap and learn about our work styles.

What's next for Gut

We might play around with it and share it with some of the art+tech circles we’ve felt at home in.
