What it does
It is to combine slow-meticulous strategy into a package that can play out in a busy school day, where one only has a small amount of time to execute their plans.
How we built it
We built it in NextJS and we hosted the backend on Replit.
Challenges we ran into
Due to complications the backend was hard to keep up and running, but in the end we were able to prevail and make a fully functional and fun game. We also had bouts of indecisiveness, but in the end we were able to pull though are reach a consensus
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Developing a fully multiplayer and real-time strategy experience for all of the users, without a complicated sign up process.
What we learned
We learned to stick to our plans and pull through to make an amazing produce
What's next for Empires
We plan to add new features and multiple boards to the game.
