Inspiration

The main inspiration came from Superhot and Neon White. The slow time mechanic from Superhot and movement mechanics from Neon White create a unique experience in VR.

What it does

The player is granted different movement abilities based on the weapon they're holding. The player must make it to the end of the level as quickly as possible using the different movement abilities.

How we built it

The game is built in the Unity game engine.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge is picking weapons and abilities that make for a fun experience. And then fine tuning parameters of the weapons and abilities.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The design of weapons, abilities and enemies make for an engaging experience. It's easy to pick up and play but challenging to master and make it through a level with the quickest time.

What we learned

Getting the perfect level length where it's easy to jump in and finish levels without feeling to long for quick plays.

What's next for Gun To Run

Phase 1: 6 weapons, enemies and abilities. Story mode. Global leaderboards. Around 70 levels. Phase 2: 3 additional abilities. An additional 30 leveled. Challenge levels. Level editor.
