As a group, we all are here to improve ourselves and pick up new skills.

Inspiration

Our website displays state laws regarding firearm ownership and displays households where firearms are registered on a map.

What it does

Our team used databases from Microsoft access and integrated them into a HTML5 website. We used a mix of javascript and css to stylize the site.

How I built it

Integration of the databases without knowing php or sql was extremely difficult, but after some smart exports to HTML we managed to get it working.

Challenges I ran into

We took information from databases and organized it by state on a massive scale cooperatively, dividing the workload. After making the first site, we decided to revamp the visuals and rebuilt the site from scratch with responsiveness in mind.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

How to use notepad++ effectively, new css and html tricks and skills, how to set up and move files to a domain using Filezilla, basic unix file structure, and how to tether my phone to my computer.

What I learned

The project will either get shut down by the government for violating many state laws, or we will continue to work on database integration, allowing for easy changes to the registered firearm list.
